I'm allowed to express my opinion on the matter, am I not? I think this looks cool otherwise, I just wish he also wore the hat.

He's not wearing his Champion's tunic, it looks more like his traditional green tunic, which usually has a pointy hat accompanying it. Zelda's outfit looks more BOTW-inspired, so it's noticeable that Link's is different.

Surprised they'd get along, considering Luigi helped Mario beat Bowser, while Bowser tortured & nearly killed Luigi. I think it's telling that Luigi's willing to move past that & be nice to Bowser. #MarioMovieSequel #MarioMovie2 #SuperMarioGalaxyMovie #TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie #MarioGalaxyMovie

I do hope Link wears his hat in the movie, I know BOTW/TOTK Link isn't really known for wearing a hat, but it's as iconic as his green tunic, which he seemingly is wearing (it looks Forest green to me). Even if he loses it at some point, I'd still like to see him wear it.

Movies take time to make, it'll be interesting to see how this one turns out. Hopefully it turns out good!

Hey, if Miyamoto is ultimately fine with this, than so be it. But he’s not the only one making this movie, hence why I said “the makers”. Who knows if this was even his decision to make, even if he ultimately did approve of it.

What are you talking about? BOTW came out only 8 years ago, even then, Link wore his hat in the Link’s Awakening remake and Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

You say it’s darker blue to look “more grounded” yet Zelda also doesn’t wear that same color blue? Also, I’m sorry, maybe it’s just the grassy backgrounds or having Zelda’s blue to contrast with it, but it definitely looks green to me.

If they were going for BOTW Link, wouldn’t he wear similar clothes to Zelda here? She seems more overtly BOWT inspired here.

Looks green to me, and definitely a different color from Zelda’s obviously BOWT blue coloring.
