I’m not sure how I feel about McDermott being fired. I do know he was not the guy that should be going down for this. He did the best he could with a very injured and not the strongest roster and got us very far otherwise. It should’ve been Beane. I don’t have the best feeling about this.

If there’s a situation where McDermott tells Terry that he can’t work with Beane or vice verse which in my opinion is the only way someone is getting canned, I’d fire both of them. I don’t think having a GM puppet for McDermott is a good idea. I think arranged marriage is NOT the way to go.

sean mcdermott just had easily his best season ever. won 12 games with a miserable roster, made it happen on defense with 3rd stringers 32 year olds and scraps. of anybody in the building he is the one who least deserved to lose his job. this is breathtaking stuff
