This understanding is essential for developing future national strategies to counter the proliferation of explosive devices. This workshop was also held to help national actors for the upcoming UNIDIR C-IED Self-Assessment Tool workshop, which aims at assessing Kenya’s capacities to counter IEDs.

With generous support from the Government of Japan, the Survey has developed a new methodology that helps national stakeholders better understand the threat posed by IEDs, including the networks, materials used, and underlying motivations.
