The House may have a roll call vote on whether to send it to committee; with party line votes, Dem legislation fails. IF Republicans want to appear "open" to reasonable legislation that they aren't allowed to support, they may let it be sent to committee, trusting the Republican chair to kill it.

I'm beginning to see why you want to destroy the only political party resisting the destruction of the US Constitution. I vetted Bill thoroughly and stayed home the second time. Consenting adult stuff is not my concern today. His sexual assaults in the Oval Office didn't interest Starr either.

Elected Dems were in the House ready to work when Republicans went on a long vacation. There could be no tie up of any kind. Impeachment legislation goes to a House Committee chaired by a Republican, with one more Republican than Dems. The committee buries it; no new law on it can be offered.
