It is related in that you are attacking an entire industry—NGOs—which collectively employee more people than just about anyone other than our government. You are blaming 100% of the people out there helping neighbors because 5% are committing fraud, which is the same % as other industries.

Well, it was that way, but when government programs began to get cut, and communities bonds have weakened, NGOs sprout to pick up the slack.

Money isn’t being “laundered”, funds you refer to are mostly “improper payments” due to lack of patient documentation or mistakes. Mostly not grants, but for medical services from NGOs and some for-profits. These errors may be corrected later. Other funds like tax credits aren’t to NGOs at all.

Thanks. I think if you at the stats, you’ll see that’s not true. Lots of government “waste” in various areas that don’t all have to do with NGOs, but not “fraud”. Also more $ lost to fraud at for-profits, because there’s more $ to lose. About 5% cheat in both sectors. My question: “Why blame NGOs”?

Saying no money should go to NGOs because some people break the law is like saying no one should invest in for-profits because some CEOs get arrested. Or like no one should get credit cards due to identity theft. Laws are there because some will cheat no matter what they are doing.
