Did archery tonight and got my 3rd pin! Also got to try a bow I might get, and it took a bit of adjustment but I started doing pretty well!

Scores were 136 and 133; next pin is at 150, and it won't be easy but I'll get there!

Went to my uncle's house in Gloucester yesterday for early Thanksgiving with my dad's family. Norman Rockwell eat your heart out

I think I followed you because your pottery is incredible so I don't think we know each other, but -- I'm sorry to hear you're feeling shitty, glad to hear you're feeling a little better, and your pottery is legit amazing.

Cat pictures attached because they always make me feel a bit better

Archery League night -- second to last week but I shot my best round EVER! With handicap I got 302 -- my first time breaking 300, and I would have had enough for my next pin (need 120 over 10 ends) if it was an official pin shoot. Yay! 💜

(Also at the end of the article they report 'the Zucks say they aren't the new owners of the mountain.' But they have so little credibility that no one actually believes them anymore. lol.)

Screenshots, since the article is paywalled. But really looking forward to the upcoming billionaire retreat where they are all tortured by Q'ol Heroth, the mind consumer that all the locals would have warned you about if you weren't a complete asshole

These two stores side by side seem like a very 'Choose your Fighter' moment for anyone facing complicated thoughts on masculinity. (Don't worry I chose the fabulous one)

Cute day today. Did my first trip to Sephora and got my first set of makeup -- foundation, eyeliner, basic stuff. But the sales rep was super helpful and she is totally up for helping me try out more next time! 💖

I'm not really a beer guy but I feel a strange connection to 'Market Basket Lager' and I might just have to start.

Lowell library had some great art. Especially liked this one in the meeting room, LEE'S SURRENDER AT APPOMATTOX, which was a curved mural. Lowell don't forget what we do with traitors and slavers.

A cyclist was in an accident in Lowell the other day and all the Reddit comments are about how horrible teenagers on electric motorbikes are. So now I'm extra angry and biking around safely but confidently taking the lane as my own personal act of resistance.

At the park now!!!

Oops I checked the thread and found out... the article doesn't even say who was at fault! Just that the rider was injured and the cause is under investigation.

So unfortunately I'm back on my bullshit and gonna bike EVEN HARDER around town today

The Lowell Sun has an article about someone getting injured on an electric motorbike so I needed to post 'please don't kill me on my class 2 ebike, and please know the difference between legal e-bikes and motorbikes as well as the laws that already exist' on Reddit this morning

We spent some time in the library yesterday and I got these pictures of Merlin.

The really adorable thing is that in both photos, he's hiding behind books that feature his namesake, the wizard Merlin from Arthurian legend.

Such a cute goober...

My wife got some migraine glasses that block bad wavelengths that can cause migraines. She's been using them for a while but got some new ones with cute frames. She let me try 'em on, and...

I kinda like the look 🩷😙🩵

Uh oh I may have gotten myself in trouble. Someone made a post about how they were so excited to be putting 🌟NEW CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT🌟 in the center and asked for feedback so I decided to make a thoughtful but pointed post asking 'is this gonna have anything for locals or just investors'

Here's the chili recipe by the way -- one of the first things I learned to cook and helped me realize 'ok I can actually feed myself and survive in the world'. You can use cans of beans but dried is cheaper. (From 'Help my apartment has a kitchen', a great book for making food to feed yourself)

Making kidney beans 'from scratch' (soak dried beans and boil) and making a bunch of veggie chili so I have some cheap, healthy, tasty food to shovel into my mouth for the next few days. Because tomorrow I'm getting surgery! (It should be a minor procedure, but they still gotta knock me out.)

Had a pretty busy day so far!

Started THE LEAVES
Took a break
Texted a friend and ended up meeting up at the cafe
Came home, finished tea while bringing coffee to my wife, talked a bit
Finished THE LEAVES... in front, at least
Made a fuzzy bug friend!!!
Made Mac and cheese for lunch!

In addition to serving the mafia I am also becoming an unpaid research assistant for a sketchy scientific research project.

Why do I keep getting forced into servitude by cute but intense girls?
November 2, 2025 at 2:23 AM
Started playing the new Pokémon game. So far I've gotten off the train, told that this is the most amazing city in the world, had my bag stolen, gotten caught in the Night Purge Zone, got put up in a hotel by a random girl & now I'm being pressed into servitude as a goon for her family

I went to Hive Public Market @hivepublicmarket.bsky.social in Lowell today! They're still moving in but they're open for business, and it is definitely a great offbeat vibe. Really looking forward to seeing it grow and build some 'buzz'!
