Hakeem Jeffries deserves to be unemployed.
DHS spending bill passed 220-207

7 Democrats voted in favor:
Henry Cuellar
Don Davis
Laura Gilles
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
Jared Golden
Vicente Gonzalez
Tom Suozzi

Massie voted No
Andy Harris didn't vote

Might not have passed if every Democrat voted No, but leadership wasn't whipping them to do so

Every representative who voted yes voted for more brutalization of our neighbors, more kidnapping of our children, more trampling of our rights, and more murder from this government.

ICE must be dismantled. No amount of money can reform an agency so fundamentally broken. If elected, I want you to know that I will work every day, in whatever way I can, to prosecute these agents for the crimes they have committed.

We should be investing in comprehensive immigration reform. Our resources should be devoted to building a fair and humane immigration system. I will always prioritize solutions that strengthen families and communities, not tear them apart.

People have lost their lives in our streets due to ICE agents, others have died in detention centers from medical neglect, and countless families have been forever changed.

ICE does not need more money.

No reforms on how they should handle themselves. No protections for our communities.

This cannot continue. We have seen ICE agents act as if they are above the law. Stories like those of Keith Porter Jr. and Renee Good are heartbreaking reminders of what’s at stake.

Our community deserves someone willing to stand up and deliver impactful leadership. And yet Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez, along with 6 other Democrats in the House, just voted through a funding bill that will give ICE billions of dollars with minimal guardrails.

If @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social wasn’t a feckless coward, he would have whipped these votes, and the DHS bill would have failed, 213-214.

These 7 Dems are traitors who support ICE terrorism, & House Dem leadership has made themselves complicit by refusing to even ATTEMPT to talk them into voting no
NEW: DHS appropriations bill funding ICE passes 220-207

7 Democrats voted YES on the bill:
- Jared Golden
- Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
- Henry Cuellar
- Tom Suozzi
- Laura Gillen
- Don Davis
- Vicente Gonzalez

One Republican voted NO: Thomas Massie

Dr. Matt Poling and State Rep. Brian Harrison have been busy commenting from behind their safe spaces, demeaning the actions that Dr. Martin Peterson and I took to expose the consequences of Texas A&M’s censorship policy.

In response, we invited them to publicly debate . So far—silence!

Here is the message TAMU sent to my entire college. My colleagues and students knew about the decision to cancel my Ethics class before me. This disrespect my Dean showed towards me was unwarranted.

The message was clear: Be very afraid. No one can save you from being censored at Texas A&M.

My graduate ethics course was canceled after I refused to censor discussions of race, gender, and sexuality. Ethics is about people and power, not scripted silence. This is bigger than one class. I address it in my next video, premiering at 5:00 PM today.

It's a shame more white men over 35 aren't yelling at them then. Get to work.
ICE seems to get completely flummoxed when they’re being yelled at by white men over 35. They kind of put their heads down and shuffle their feet. It’s like their kryptonite.

The leading cause of death by far among ICE officers is COVID-19.
How dangerous is it really to work for ICE?
According to ICE’s own data, none of its officers have been killed by an immigrant in the agency’s history.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.
