Talking of frothing idiots, I've just watched Beth Rigby 'interviewing' the prime minister like some apoplectic pug. The disrespect is now getting ridiculous. We certainly don't want obsequious journalists like the US press pool but some respect would be good.

She seems to think being bloody rude to the prime minister is equivalent to strong interview technique.

Just said exactly the same. Grim. I cannot believe the way she and Chris Mason think is acceptable to speak to the prime minister.

Is this a result of continuous pushback by the Lib Dems and Tories in the Lords though?

But it's an obvious necessity in order to pay for social good. The NHS has to be paid for. Or would we rather pay private premiums? Education has to be funded. Or can we all suddenly afford private school fees? It's about time the public grew up and acknowledged this. Tax is a fact of life.
