The doll is larger than its witch. This is normal, and ordinarily not a problem.
But this time, the doll fell asleep leaning against her, and did not wake after it collapsed sprawled across her in a heap.
This is so uncharacteristic. The poor thing must be exhausted...

I just think it would be really neat to be trapped right under the nose of an oblivious giant who could and would help with no effort.
Doubly so if it's by a simple doll that thinks it's helping, and also thinks I'm just the cutest little thing and doesn't want to give me up.

The doll shushes you, as it holds you close. The grasp of its fragile limbs, impossibly firm.
It shrank you, and it could petrify you just as easily. But if you promise to behave and keep very, very quiet, it will let you watch as they frantically try to figure out where you went.
