It had been a week since my body had become like this.
My sleep had been light ever since the bed broke. It was all I had done lately, over the fear of making things worse.
The hunger pangs came and went. I didn't wither, but at least I was stable.

the headcanon is she unwittingly has size powers that shrink people around her when she's feeling any sort of anticipation. this means a lot of her dates end up being 'no shows', which leads to more anticipation for upcoming dates, etc etc.
