Then he walks into the treacherous plots, betrays her, and everyone else is like, "welp, guess we gotta deal with that."

So then Gripir tells Sigurd about all the bad shit that's going to happen to him. Absolute forewarning. Here's the plot, here's every choice you'll make.

Armed with this knowledge, what does Sigurd do?

Fucking enact it, step by step, like he'd never heard a word of it.

"You'll rescue a beautiful maiden! She'll teach you all the magic of the runes!"
"And?"
"That's it."
"No, really. What else?"
"That's all. Even my gifts have limits."
"Seriously, what else will happen to me?"
