Fuckaduck, what a depressing day of capitulations, on both sides of the pond.

Who knew the guiding document of 21st century politics would be Neville Chamberlain's little piece of paper?

Yuval Noah Harari isn't always right, but when he is...

History rhymes.

Comicbook retailers -- fascinating conversation with other creators raises a question.

When you're placing orders for NCBD, how do you apportion your budget? Book by book basis? Publisher by publisher? Do the brackets change weekly, or is it always "x% on DC", "y% on Image"? What drives change?

Woke up early feeling immediately energetic and positive, even without coffee, for the first time in years! Played with the kids! Danced!

Sat down to eat breakfast. Turned my head a millimetre to the left and instantly fucked my entire neck.

Everything is rubbish and god hates us all.

A Walking Shadow by @sispurrier.bsky.social and @aaroncampbellarts.com: 8 strangers wake up chained to a boat in the woods. No memory. No escape. No explanation.
Out next year, email us now at [email protected] to add this series by some of our favourite Hellblazer creators to your pull list!

Oof. I love those "ohhh, they *get* it" type reviews.

One of my favourites, I think.
"With power and momentum to spare, 'The Voice Said Kill' #3 brings us through another twisting, compelling chapter of the best crime story going right now."
@imagecomics.com @sispurrier.bsky.social @vanesadelrey.bsky.social #comicbooks #comicsky
Out tomorrow, read @chriscoplan.bsky.social's review:
‘The Voice Said Kill’ #3 brings readers deeper into this undeniable crime classic
Hop aboard for murder, humanity, and gators.

UK child-adjacent comics-knowers: any comics reccos for a kid (7) who's nuts about football but not a natural reader?

My own boy is now a voracious bookworm and it's thanks to comics -- I'm wondering if anyone's staked a claim to the footie/sequentials intersection in that under-10s category?

I love folk raving about @sispurrier.bsky.social work ( especially when it’s folk as equally talented and smart as Pornsak ) because he’s one of the nicest people in comics and honestly I just don’t think he gets the flowers he deserves often enough

( ditto what Pornsak said about TVSK )
It's interesting how differently I read digital vs. physical comix. I recommended @sispurrier.bsky.social & Vanessa Del Rey's THE VOICE SAID KILL 1 after reading a digital copy, but after reading a physical one, even though it's exactly the same, I think it's the best new crime comic of the year.

#MyConicBooks2025 393, The Voice Said Kill #2. Holy hell, this is even better than the first issue! The deep colours, the amazing dialogue, the multi facetted characters! @sispurrier.bsky.social and co. are kicking all kinds of ass here!

"It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

I think about Macbeth's Tomorrow-And-Tomorrow-And-Tomorrow speech a lot, lately. He was talking about life, but it makes a rather beautiful review of a decent 70% of everything you'll watch or read this year.

On the day that Pepsi and Coca Cola launch a limited-edition 50/50 mixture, people will queue around the block and speak gnomically of sophisticated flavors, brave artisanal choices and succour for struggling soda-vendors, while a thousand kids quietly pack away their unvisited lemonade stands.
