I've made it to Rimuldar, but wandering too far south has put me in battles with 2 chimeras and a Scarewolf (Wyvern and Wolflord on NES) which is just one of many dangerous encounters I've barely survived.

There’s a map available for the overworld and all of the dungeons that you can pull up. And as mentioned previously lighting or the lack thereof is no longer an issue. It’s like any other more modern RPG.

There are a lot of new inns, ruined villages, and other locations scattered across the world.
That does take away some of the sense of peril since you don’t have to travel as far from civilization, but things can still get very dangerous in a hurry if you over extend yourself.

Almost like the NES version was an abridged retelling. But I’m not sure it can surpass that version for me. It was a magical part of my childhood.there are more events happening, more kinds of monsters.
