That sounds like exactly what he’s saying in the article, that they should have used the cool aliens more and made the planets more distinct, but instead they made a game that focused on the least interesting aspect of space as a setting

Frankly embarrassing that it took me this long to add a debug screen to make it easier to start from specific points with appropriate setups, as opposed to manually inputting values every time. This is gamedev baybee
