I can't even get past most articles about LLMs that talk about it reasoning, thinking, knowing, etc. So many people out there writing about this stuff but showing no regard or knowledge of how these things actually work.
Tried watching it & turned it off less than a minute in when he says the AI “lies”. My issue is more than semantics: a robot cannot lie. It cannot know the truth, it cannot know any emotions or experiences beyond calculations. The same as the malfunctioning dryer at my local laundromat is not lazy.

Pretty sure that because X has an LLM, with relation to that LLM's output, X is categorically a publisher, not "a platform," and therefore responsible for any harm, misinformation, libel, holocaust denial, etc. that it spits out.

So the two companies that have decided to push AI-gen advertising so far are... Coca-Cola and McDonald's. And from the sound of it, both ads were a complete (and presumably expensive) struggle, and have just proved to be a magnet for criticism. Yay.

If the reporting on the Peggie decision tells us anything, it should be that the way news gets reported in this country has little to do with truth, and much more to do with narrative - as well as whose heavily spun press release lands on journos desks first.
