In the other place, I've been sharing the (very slow) build of a semi-solid Jaguar.

Odd that he doesn’t like Philip Glass considering how much he likes repeating himself.

It’s payback time. Ducks are on their way to your house, with their families, to throw unsuitable food at you and imitate the way you talk.

Woman in a café: My daughter had a dog. She loved him so much. When he died it broke her heart. She told me she would never get another one. Over Christmas she found a puppy. Out in the cold. No chip. Neighbours didn’t recognise it. Lovely little dog. So she kept it. Now her heart is mended.

This is a good point.
I would argue that a large part of the progressive problem is that those arguing here are on exactly those middling salaries that have relatively lost out from e.g. higher minimum wages - their support for rising minimum wage was conditional on their own wages also rising... but how?

Today is International Monkey Day and this is your reminder that if you give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day, but if you give a monkey a beer and some fireworks now you’ve got a party.

This a monumental and very interesting thread.
I'm going to reproduce a saucy thread I did some years ago in the other place. It is divisive and produces many odd statements and flushes out parochial opinions.

www.timeanddate.com/calendar/rep... I don't know who needs to hear this, but 1998 had the same dates on the same days as 2026 will, and there are myriad craptastic 90s calanders on ebay for your enjoyment.

I've personally ordered a 1998 Star Trek original series one for myself but you do you 😘
