There will come a date, and we may already have passed it, which people in future will use as a guide whether to buy translated foreign-language books or not.
Hard no to this: French publisher Harlequin has told translators that their work will now be done by AI. They can ‘revise’ AI translations at much lower rate. It’s a subsidiary of Harper Collins so treat this as a test for rollout elsewhere

#JohnColtrane is such a salve for the soul in these tortuous times.
There are not many dead musicians whom I would have craved to see live, Bob Marley is one. Miles Davis another and Billie Holliday too. But Coltrane is #supreme. What pure emotional joy his #jazz represents.

1 Our keepers need to be told to stay in their areas
2 Killip needs kicking lessons
3 Segecic needs passing lessons
4 Chaplin needs to continue to start. He'll only get better with more awareness of his new teammates
5 Our press can be very effective
