Need to file a bug report: on Linux the posting-hand cat keeps stomping on my knee incision instead.

But hey, that's mobile, I'll just look at it on desktop and... whoops.

But wait! What about Working Families?

Well... turns out if the JavaScript on the page chokes, none of the links work.

If you know someone with an embroidery machine, I have a little design that makes 3-8 stripe flags. Somehow I do not have a picture of the "feltie" version of it but it works the same as the hibiscus. Lemme know if you need a design file - we can still get those across the border. 😜

Me: I'll just wear shorts to my PT session on Monday so I can put on/take off the knee brace on my off leg easily

You can sometimes take a word out of the spellchecker, which back in the day saved me (as a typesetter who primarily did school/church/civic things) a lot of anxiety about the public/pubic situation.

Okay, that's a little more plausible. (Sherrill is kind of a meh, centrist candidate, so these numbers are still wild, but not "how could the polls be so wrong" wild.)

Anyway, did my part.

This is only 32% in so some of it has gotta be blue mirage, right? No way Atlantic County stays blue, or some of the other South Jersey counties?

I did the thing!

Olivia is continually baffled at how the best part of my lap is always cold and, importantly, cannot seem to be warmed up. She lasts about 30 seconds at a time.
November 3, 2025 at 4:24 PM
Cleaned up pretty nice. Gotta set grommets, and maybe make a second so they can face up and down the sidewalk instead of toward the street.

I was going to say "no one will turn the fan on until spring" but spouse turned it on for the light immediately after I posted that, but i stopped him to get the bat first.

Now I gotta go back upstairs to do all the trimming on this.
November 2, 2025 at 9:46 PM
Should probably put away the bat skeleton before someone turns on the light and goes "WHAT WAS THAT?!"

(the fan is permanently on high thanks to previous owner's handyman)

You know what, fitness watch, I have my doubts.

She is refusing to acknowledge that this is an ice pack straight from the freezer. *I* have two layers of blanket plus the cover between me and it.
October 31, 2025 at 11:53 PM
She poked my incision with a claw getting here but now she's in her favorite spot. Hate to tell her I'm going to ice it again soon.
October 30, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Olivia the cat finds the ice packs particularly offensive since that's her favorite knee to sleep on and now it's cold, UNFAIR

Everybody complains about hospital food but it's actually hospital drinks that are the weirdest.
