While growing up, whenever I called someone an adult, my mom would point out that people might be of a certain age but that this didn't mean they were mature. It was very annoying. "🙄Yes, moooom" annoying. I'm 42 now. I get why she felt the need to point this out again and again and again... again

One of the most powerful examples of socially engaged Buddhism is that of the monks walkiing peacefully from Texas to DC. Please note... Buddhism in the streets, on the roads and highways, a Buddhism that does not turn away from the social ills of our time.

Dumped Audible and joined Libro.fm a while back now and not looking back! I love that I can even support my local queer bookstore in Belgium. #resistandunsubscribe

Trump has posted on Truth Social about 65 times in the last 90 minutes, including a video he posted at 8:44 PM PT describing election fraud lies that shows racist AI images of Michelle and Barack Obama as monkeys at the end. I’ve confirmed this is real and watched it myself.

When you worship power, compassion and mercy will look like sins.

When you worship power, the harsher the treatment towards your "enemies," the more righteous it will look.

When you worship power, the value and dignity of others is solely measured by their conformity to you.

Just unpublished my books on Amazon. It's only 2, and they're not popular or anything, but hoping more authors will follow. It's that kind of moment in history, beautiful people. Let's step up.
3. Hours after Alex Pretti was fatally shot at point-blank ranger, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy attended a screening of "Melania," a documentary about the First Lady, at the White House.

Amazon is paid Melania $40 million for rights to the vanity project and is spending another $35 million to promote it

Rilke as translated by Barrows and Macy (❤️):

“Does the ore feel trapped
in coins and gears? In the petty life imposed upon it
does it feel homesick for earth?

If metal could escape from coffers and factories, and the torn-open mountains close around it again,

we would be whole.”
