Thanks! I think it's something I'm rather decent at too :))

But it's emphatically not premeditated murder.

He may have been the world's biggest racist, but unless he went onto that subway with the specific goal of killing Neely, it's not premeditated murder.

Besides, and I say this as a leftie, was he supposed to just let a man harass a woman? I think not

I'm glad he has fun being in movies because it's clear as day that he can't act. Might as well have a bit of fun while doing a job you're bad at

I meant more on the bean-counter and production side of things rather than people like costume designers or prop-masters, but okay!

Like let's be honest, Disney is creatively a mess right now. Pity that SW is with them!
January 2, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Well, all in agreement. And that's also kinda my point. Whoever is in charge of SW needs to realise that they need to make smaller projects that are done with love and care instead of 600 million buck blockbusters that everyone hates.

Andor and SkelCrew may be a step in the right direction!
January 2, 2025 at 5:38 PM
That makes sense lol. Clone Wars is awesome and to Millennial/Z children, the storytelling of a 70s adventure movie can often be too slow.

Personally, I hated SW until I was 16 and then I saw Empre Strikes Back lmao

Fair dos

I'd love a SW romcom. I love romcoms and I love SW. But it needs to be done right.

And I don't trust anyone to do it right.

I mean even in Skeleton Crew, they shoehorned a Jedi in.

Why????
January 2, 2025 at 5:29 PM
I agree with that too. But the sequel trilogy isn't even anything new. It's just weirdly different but eerily similar, while ruining much of what we liked about the OT (or the PT).

Eg.: Andor maintains the same spirit of the OT but adopts an entirely new narrative style.

Speaking of SW games, you 100% should play the new Jedi games (the Cal Kestis ones). They manage to make me feel like I'm watching the OT again for the first time.

Truly great SW games.

As games themselves, they're basically soulslikes with a customisable difficulty
January 2, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Oh yeah absolutely. That's my point lol.

I'm just saying I'm glad he wasn't made cannon. I don't want to give you spoilers in case you're going to play, but... he has a lot of blood on his hands, let's just say lmao
January 2, 2025 at 5:23 PM
And I think the reason that Andor or Clone Wars are such popular narrators of SW stories is because they're in keeping with the original "derring-do" spirit that that the OT was grounded in.

SW otherwise has tried to be... too much of something different
January 2, 2025 at 5:21 PM
You needn't have played the game - Starkiller is just a pure (and uncompromisingly fun) power fantasy character. Glad he's not cannon though (dude kills everyone).

SW should never have tried to be more than a great adventure story/space opera.

That's why I'm loving the new Jedi games
January 2, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Speaking of bad SW lore, you didn't even mention Starkiller. Great concept for a game and some of the most fun I had in the PS3 era, but that dude was so fucking OP.

Best SW content since the OT is the new Jedi (Survivor and Fallen Order) games though
January 2, 2025 at 5:12 PM
The EU was de-cannonised for a reason lol. A lot of it was really poorly done. Some of the comics are great, but SW has done very poorly after the OT ended. One of the most divisive things ever made. And George being George doesn't help
January 2, 2025 at 4:43 PM
The real issue with the new Star Wars stuff is that 90% of the main characters are just unlikeable, the story is crap and they effectively sidelined or otherwise maligned the two best characters; Poe and Finn.

Kylo Ren and Daisy Ridley's character were like children's understandings of SW "lore"
January 2, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Instantly followed lmao. One day, I'll also be able to make art like this.

Utterly beautiful
