It seems (to a non-lawyer) that the suing reaction is disproportionate. Yes, the edit implied a link between the sentences that may not have been intended, but they were all things he did say, unlike in the AI-generated misinformation he likes to share. And the content was broadcast in UK, not US.

That Government response sounds like it's a decade too late. That media literacy training would have been so helpful in combatting the fake news of the 2016 EU referendum. It's not really going to come close to helping people navigate today's sophisticated AI landscape.

Also some of our home-grown highly skilled people emigrate to other countries, driven by many of the same factors that make our country less attractive to highly skilled immigrants.

As a side note, I'm intrigued that only 60% of Reform MPs actually voted for their own leader's motion. It doesn't say a lot for their conviction in their own policies!

Isn't part of this that fewer of the jobs that young people go into have relevant unions? And the unions aren't as embedded in politics as they used to be either.
