Yikes: To do this, CSR has scheduled *289* study sections from 03/24-05/16/2025. For comparison, there were only 96 study sections from 3/24-5/17/2024. And NIH still plans to RIF more staff. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Great work by CAsToR’s NIH and CISNET colleagues showing the major contributions of prevention to reduce mortality from 5 major cancers, with smoking cessation contributing the lion’s share of the deaths averted: 3.45 million from lung cancer alone.
