Can you imagine the issues if you have a hardware fault

I think even if I wanted to comply I couldn't. I can't recall all of that info.

Disney as well...

Must be nice being a Floridian Republican right about now...

The biggest single factor damaging UK manufacturing (at least in the heavy engineering sector) is the price of energy.

Reading a book wouldn't change the shear deprivation/hopelessness that some of these places have. It doesn't excuse their racsim etc but it's overly simplistic+unhelpful to immediately run to uneducated as the only reason. Both regions were left behind+abandoned for other investment opportunities.

Europe is still referred to as meaning continental Europe and too often people mix EU with Europe.

So yeah Europe stops at the channel for many.

Ultimately these parties are populist RW parties, but don't seem to hold the same imperialist desires of the 1900s. They want it good for themselves, and for the country to be like it was in their childhood*, and will tell any story to get people to vote for it.

*not an accurate version either

Those same themes are referenced in many right wing parties globally, not just UK. Obviously Reform have their own flavour to this, but the reason the AfD is so popular in the East is the same reasons why Reform are popular in the North West and East.
December 10, 2025 at 12:13 PM
The underlying conditions for why the RW in UK exist (ie stalled economy, wealth inequality and distribution) etc haven't changed. Immigration has been a topic of concern inn the UK since 1990s alongside 'benefit scroungers' and this is the angle Reform have returned to now.
December 10, 2025 at 12:13 PM
Reform aren't playing on Brexit though. Euroscepticism is a back page news story in the UK now, due to Brexit. Euroscepticism is alive in other parts of Europe however, but the failure of Brexit made it less politically viable.

Island nation, Empire hangover (ie never part of the Continental empires + its own empire), WW1 and 2, English language ties in with America too well.

I promise you this video clip buffered at the worst time, and I learned things about RFK that I did not want to know

Remember, if you think things can't get worse, they can.

Err you mean the power that lies with the people. Funny that...

I'm aware of those differences, but the US doesn't operate SSK. SSNs are still able to detect SSK better than destroyers/frigates banging away on active, +as soon as they go loud then any passive sonar defence is rendered moot. On top of that the US has much more experience in sub ops compared to CN

Or the SSNs that travel with CSGs to protect them...
