What if it turns out Trump is a snitch?

In the mafia world he lives in, what if he was the rat who was cooperating with Epstein investigators?

Does he get a pass because he was helping take down a pedophile?

Seems to me that in the world of crime a rat is a rat is a rat?

Is this what he fears?

Goes beyond this simple case of vindictiveness. It's across the board GOP authoritarian overreach getting shut down by the Courts.

Abrego. Chicago. Portland. Tariffs. Loss after loss after loss. A generation of patiently implementing unitary exec & taking power under a long term vision thrown away

It's as if Trump, Heritage, Federalist Society, Fox & the GOP implemented Phase IV (the Trump Card) prematurely.

Phase III which includes the complete infiltration of the Judiciary w loyalists was incomplete.

What prompted them to move hastily without having complete reign over Courts?

Bummer.

If the Orange turd ignored the Judge's reach, Congress must impeach.

LFG!
November 19, 2025 at 7:59 PM
That's not what happened here though. At all

The full GJ originally voted against Count 1 & in favor of Counts 2 & 3.

The question that arose today is whether the govt is required to present the redrafted indictment to the full GJ and have them deliberate again & take another vote. Yes it seems.

Many are confused based off a partial snip of the Judge's earlier decision. This section more fully encompasses what the Judge understood & decided.

"So they separated it."

That's what the only indictment against Jim Comey is.

"Count Two and Three were then put" by someone who may or may not be Lindsey Halligan "in a different package."
November 19, 2025 at 6:47 PM
At end of hearing, Judge Nachmanoff ordered parties to brief how (noncontrolling) DC Circuit case Gaither v. US impacts Comey's. Facts in Gaither not exactly the same. But it creates "flat rule" of "dismissal of indictments not found by 12 grand jurors." law.justia.com/cases/federa...

And I would have gotten away with it, if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!
November 19, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Had to look that up.

There's also a chance that the Judge refers the lawyer to the Bar. I think that would come with far more gravitas than a consumer watchdog group. I'll be looking for that along with you.
November 19, 2025 at 6:27 PM
They presented the no-bill to the Judge straight-up. Here is the relevant portion of the transcript the day of.
The only thing they were trying to cover up was their own incompetence. Bondi signed off 2x that she reviewed & approved Halligan's actions.

They'll certainly be adding more to this Bar complaint. It's awfully sad that is politicized too.

Watchdog Files Bar Complaint Against Interim US Attorney Lindsey Halligan
By prosecuting James Comey and Letitia James despite a dearth of evidence that either committed any crimes, Halligan appears to have violated Bar rules.

There's no hiding it. It's a public record. (Unless it is sealed) Sure Prejudicial for the defendant if a no billed charge remains on the indictment in court. Leave the denied child molestation charge on there to turn the jurors against the defendant.
Judge reviewed no bill day of GJ vote here.
November 19, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Well, obviously not. I mean mid-term elections are a year from now and Dems would first need to win the House despite gerrymanders and voter oppression. It's just looking at possibilities how we might see DOJ misconduct since this case is ending as soon the next two weeks.
November 19, 2025 at 5:54 PM
If Comey pursues civil damages in Court against DOJ for their vindictive prosecution a lot of DOJs shenanigans will be exposed. But that takes a long time to play out. Democratic controlled House hearings could be revealing of pursued.
November 19, 2025 at 5:40 PM
That's why emptywheel.net was sad this case wouldn't likely make it very far. Everyone would like to see the corrupt DOJ fully exposed for the idiots they are. OTOH you've got a man racking up legal bills with a top notch team so you kinda want him to be free from everything hanging over him asap.

The shortcuts are not how it works though.
November 19, 2025 at 5:14 PM
No. Not really. Halligan thought she could save everyone a little time by not going over the new indictment again. She had two counts that passed so she wanted to get those in the bag.

Remember she never had Grand Jury procedural training & winged it w staff refusal to join her. A man's liberty.
November 19, 2025 at 5:13 PM
If I was Lemons and my DOJ bosses gave me those orders, I would make sure they put that in writing.
It's obstructive. Just not sure if it's criminal.
