Shower Cat
@shower-cat.bsky.social
A cat who took showers. 💔 Kittens who romp. 😻 My hooman is interested in cats, politics, Russia, Ukraine, and Central Asia, and nuclear weapons and nonproliferation but mostly cats
Wow, you weren’t kidding about the clickbaity conflation of an RTG with a nuclear weapon.

It’s unacceptable to be rude and aggressive to customers and colleagues whether it’s racist, political, sexist, ageist, whatever. We should have stronger workplace protections but there are reasonable boundaries, and abusing patrons is outside the boundaries.

Free birth advocates generally claim that childbirth is natural, so you don’t need medical interventions. They are selling the idea that medical support isn’t needed. This works because death in childbirth is not as common as it once was, while ignoring that medical interventions are the reason.

Pears are definitely like avocados: hard as a rock one day and rotting the next. But the best pears are forelle pears, with Seckel pears in close second. Very seasonal, and generally something you find at the farmers market, not in a grocery store.

Move your feet, lose your seat. I can stand up to grab something just out of reach on the table in front of me and almost sit back down on a cat. They are always lurking and ready to snipe the warm spot.

I know that parental alienation is a thing but it often feels when you dig a little deeper, the reason for the alienation becomes more and more obvious. It’s like letters from parents whose kids have gone NC. The more they talk about the situation, the more obvious whose fault it is.
