Oh, I didn't take it as a complaint. When people ask questions, sometimes it spurs inspiration that wouldn't have otherwise happened.

Like, if a tract was 3% lesbian, 2% gay men, and 5% same-sex in 2020 and the new data shows 6% same-sex, we could infer that it's now 3.6% lesbian and 2.4% gay men.

That certainly isn't perfect, but it's probably reasonable enough to make the map a little more current.

I might be able to update it, sorta

The data on lesbian and gay couples gets collected every 10 years, but same-sex gets collected every year or two

I could use an increase/decrease in same-sex for a tract and then extrapolate numbers for lesbians/gay men based on that and the prior information

Like, when thinking about an area like the Bay Area, you can kinda see that queer women tend to be in the East Bay more and that's a pattern that isn't going to shift quickly.

And it's meant to highlight that there are smaller (often cheaper) areas where one can find queer community.

Right now, the data is collected every 10 years, but that could change. I don't think patterns shift that quickly and it's more meant to serve as a basis of "this is probably the center of gravity you'll want to look at."

Ah, brings me back to the Good Old Days™ where we'd fire up vim and edit files directly on the production server and then hope everything was okay 😆

Basically. Their market cap is $60B, debt $30B, and they'll want a premium over their current share price so probably $70-90B plus $30B in debt for $100-120B total?

Luckily she doesn't have nearly enough money (by an order of magnitude)

And AT&T a year or two before that 😆

Yea, but Warner Bros seems set on selling.

And given the current political climate, money and bootlicking will clear impediments to the consolidation.

I got my teaching certification, I graduated top of my class and did all the teaching assistant gigs I needed to do.

I taught summer school, did substitute teaching and worked at private schools.

And then I decided to not teach because I'm trans, I knew people would throw a fit.
