Julia Ward Howe* wrote a novel about an intersex/genderqueer and asexual-spectrum person who lived as both genders and had relationships with both men and women (in the 1840s).

*Author of Battle Hymn of the Republic, abolitionist, suffragist, and feminist

There are some decent LED bulbs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeR2...

I use this at 1800K: www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZPBWGFK

It isn't IR, but it's better than most LEDs and very stable delivery so there's no flicker

They have lamp/bulb reviews: optimizeyourbiology.com/light-therap...

The REM is great, but the tragedy might be that expertise fading away without another project

REM de l'Est was rejected because some people disliked the elevated portion above a 6-lane road

When projects get derailed so easily, each new project takes a long time and you always lose your experience

Because Seven of Nine is here to assimilate you. Your ship and its crew will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

Here's a screenshot of the older version that mapped fewer areas and had a legend - but I think the legend made it feel too specific and authoritative for something that's ultimately a little fuzzy and meant to be a useful jumping off point than some sort of final say on queer community.

To prevent anomalies, it tries to build a "neighborhood" of around 13,000 by combining tracts with nearby ones and weighting by population and distance.

I bought my parents something like this and it's made things so much better for them. One cable that can charge all their stuff.

Hot take: Companies shouldn't be allowed to license trademarks for products they aren't involved with.

A trademark gets protection because it's a meaningful indicator to consumers. If you license your trademark in a lax way, it's no longer a meaningful indicator and should lose that protection.

Boston (Newton): what if we put a train station next to a golf course and next to another golf course? And then put the next train station on the other side of the golf course?

Tech bros: I'm not worried about digital fakes impacting me personally so we shouldn't worry about them!

It's possible, but seems unlikely. There's a couple dozen images with the dreidels backwards while the Christmas ones clearly weren't mirrored.

Also, in your mirrored version, the company's logo is now backwards
November 21, 2025 at 5:25 PM
The dreidels on this are definitely backwards, right?
