I've always been baffled at In-N-Out's popularity. I'm not saying the burgers are bad or anything. They're just not "let's wait in this drive-through line that has spilled out into the street and is causing traffic problems" good.

You're probably not wrong, but I do want to toss out there that I had not played any prior "Ben and Dan" game but I was still pretty well sold on Clockwork God and loved it.

I disagree that fallback/ideal is a strong connotation for it. To make it more general it's uncommon/common or unexpected/expected. Common or expected doesn't imply ideal, as there might be other factors that determine why besides "most desirable".
