If I understand this correctly - this is not my area - the sentencing remarks should include an explanation of the approach taken.

This exchange prompted me to double check the details for an event I am booked to attend this weekend. I'm delighted to say that Birmingham Healthy Air Coalition's Healthy Air, Healthy Lives Conference has done this well.

Sorting family papers and I find myself reflecting on how daunting it must have been for my dad - very much a homebody and a mother's boy - to travel to England in 1959.

Amma’s guide cap with a selection of Ceylon Girl Guiding badges.

Amused to discover that when my mother arrived from what was then Ceylon in 1968 to join her new husband in London, she came with a Letter of Introduction from the International Commissioner of The World Association of Girls Guides confirming her status as a Guide Captain.

Bus travel to/from scenic Bournville Lane will involve additional complications this morning.

Bring wellies.

A fine but of parking on Bournville Lane this morning.

The station manager has reported it to @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social and West Midlands Police. It’s anyone’s guess whether either will take responsibility and get it moved.

Good morning Bristol.

Off to VWV’s Bristol office for a Team Day. It’s an opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across the Charity Law and Governance team.

And there should be time for a stop at Hart’s Bakery to grab something for breakfast.

#SchoolRunJoy

I admire our lollipop ladies. It is an enormously important job. I could not stand there patiently each day as parents and neighbours blithely endanger the very children they are delivering to school by parking dangerously.
