Ok, with all the new groupsets coming out, I have to take a stand. The absolute best, sexiest groupset to ever grace the land of cycling is the 950/952 XTR. Yes, I said it, and I mean it. Have at me #bikesky. 3X9, bulletproof, instantly tuneable, pinnacle of tech. Outlast any modern group. Perfect.

And finally, finding the original paint shop that worked on these frames in the 80s and getting the frame painted back to what it should be~

~ Then finding all the parts to replace broken ones, including replacing a cracked hub, finding a brand new old stock correct Avocet saddle, appropriate tires... Etc

~the chance to restore this, thanks to another #bikesky enthusiast, but man, that was a gallon of Kroil and elbow grease. First, hunting for all the period correct and model correct parts on eBay and elsewhere. Spec calls for Shimano 700 deer head. Then cleaning EVERYTHING.~

K #bikesky, here's a long tale of a classic restoration. A 1985 Ritchey Timberwolf, hand made and braised by Tom himself. It came to me in pretty poor state, I gotta say. Parts missing some broken, all filthy. Frame partially stripped. Take a look, these are just some. Now, definitely grateful for~
