kinda fascinating how the usual politesse which British right-wing pundits had historically spoken of has led to the current scene in London. These pundits would often remark how, for example, it was 'bad manners' (badtameez) to protest footballers taking the knee for BLM.

why of all places are anti-migrant protests happening at hotels in britain? the protestors are people who would be horrified to see anybody non-white in any hotel anywhere, least of all in their hometowns. perhaps for them there is something grotesque about a hotel full of unmarried brown men

Whenever my mum gets paranoid about our house safety, like there’s a threat in the area, she shuts all the blinds and then the house turns dramatically inwards. But then she opens it up again the next day and risks her luck. *She’s* chasing the dragon.
