My husband got me an Apple Watch and I fear I am a disappointment to him because the only thing I care about is that Snoopy will do a little dance on the face.

That website with a cache of episodes of Pop Up Video is doing the Lord’s work.

Someone asked me why I do most of my writing on a dumb 1996 word processor.

Today I sat in my office, set up Scrivener on my PC, carefully arranged my keyboard with the proper wrist support, & instead of writing played Cook, Serve, Delicious.

That's why.

(I'm so good at Cook, Serve, Delicious.)

I'm currently reading Lonesome Dove, and now I'm in the mood for cowboy movies. What are the best in the genre? I've seen Stagecoach and that one from MST3K that was really actually good- Gunslinger. What are the hits of the lasso-bronco-high-noon genre. Oh I just remembered I watched High Noon.

I watched the gay hockey show because I’m hockey-guy-curious and when the one guy wants to get down and the other guy says “not yet” the first says “okay” and completely backs off. There‘a zero pressure, and I understood why women love this show.

I quit blue sky and started mainlining reddit but now I’ve quit Reddit and will have a completely healthy and normal relationship with blue sky.

Had to spend an hour at my daughter's jujitsu class with the dad next to me watching videos on his phone with no headphones. I've had to stew in my anger and hated because we can't say anything because it's England but I'm home now and I'm American so maaaaaaan fuck that guy.

I need the ability to detach from the intellectual knowledge about Ed and Lorraine Warren because I can't stand their whole... thing.. but the first Conjuring is straight up a good haunted house flick and Patrick Wilson is sexy af in 70s clothes. My stupid brain is determined to not enjoy things.

I am led to believe that LLMs are basically larger versions of the predictive text that thinks every time I write 'what do you want for' the next word will be 'dinner'. Why do people treat this technology like it's a magical encyclopedia?

Re-playing Red Dead Redemption and hopefully these people figured out that if they come at me wanting their friend saved I am probably not the man for the job. There's flowers out here for pickin'.

I have twenty movies I have been holding onto that I 'need' to watch, and yet I watch The Menu for the 100th time. It's perfect.

Tried to watch the first episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht and they were in Ibiza and I got a vision of my own personal hell. All of it. Those people, Ibiza, a 'sailing yacht', a reality tv crew...

There's a lot in here that bothers me, but the most egregious wrong here is that they named that guy on the right "Nigel Thistledown".

I actually do import Archie Comics digests because in this world of cynicism and uncertainty sometimes I really need a pure hit of wholesome. Look, the gang is learning about bears!

I was hoping the UK emergency alert would be a different sound from the one we got in the US, like instead of just BWOM BWOM it would meekly say 'Pardon me, chap, but if you have a moment and I could just interject BWOM BWOM.'

Just a reminder that there's a big siren woo-woo alert coming on all the cell phones in the UK tomorrow at 1500 BST, so if you have a phone you're hiding for some reason turn it off.

A lot of things make me angry about being raised in an Evangelical cult, but one of the biggest is being told that any talent is God-given and so if you are not immediately good at something it means it's not 'willed' for you.

You know it’s the first day of school because it’s the first of maybe 3 days a year I put effort into my kid’s packed lunch. Back to tuna salad and a hunk of cheese on monday.
