I got my flu shot yesterday and the latest COVID vaccine last month. Flu and COVID have been low but we’re headed into the winter surge. If you haven’t got your vaccines yet, now is a good time to protect yourself & those around you through the winter.

What kind of monsters withhold food assistance, appeal to the Supreme Court for their right to withhold it, then demand states take it back? Hell yes, I’m angry. Taking food away from hungry children is a red line for me, and should be for everyone.

This morning, I was honored to join Congressman Ro Khanna, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, and Senator Edward J. Markey, as well as state legislators from around the country at a press conference for the reintroduction of the State-Based Universal Health Care Act.

Juneteenth is a day of celebration, but also a day to recognize that the work of eliminating racial disparities is not yet done. This year is especially difficult as forces including our own federal government are working to dismantle progress. Today and always I commit to working for true equity.

I joined 87 of my colleagues in a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to urge them to correct policy failures by PJM, the regional grid operator, which would lead to increased rates and unnecessary payments to electric companies. Read it here: www.canva.com/design/DAGoA...
