However, incredibly, Tolkien turned down an approach from The Beatles management to make a movie of The Lord of The Rings around '66-'67 after Help. He was decidedly unhappy at the prospect of a "pop" group making a film of his book!

Well that's a wrap on travel for customer events for 2025, bar one more OS trip. So leaving Canberra in the morning for a staggered return through the weekend to Melbourne.

A wet old drive up from Melbourne today. But driving through Yarra Glen and through Kinglake State Forest and Bonnie Doon was a nice change from the boring old Hume.
The misty mountains (ranges) captured below wirh rule of thirds rainclouds (i just cut out some road).

Probably my last WA post...back to Melbourne tomorrow. Albany - thank you. Slim pickings, but still a few nice Op shop finds (nothing over $5). The single was the standout along with Spy v Spy (who I recall seeing around 91 at St Georges Leagues Club. What a gig. #vinyl
