Internet I need your help with something stupid. I bought jujubes (don’t judge) and all of them have shapes. There’s peas, corn, a flower… what the fuck is this. Read ALT text if you want more info
A jujube. It is a cuboid shape. It has 4 ridges that extend lengthwise from one end and it wraps around the side. However on one of the short sides the ridges do not extend to the edge and there is a bump that sticks out. It can be seen in the photo. It comes in all the colours so colour appears irrelevant

I recently bought this contraption so I can make popcorn in the microwave without fuss but, can make it healthier than the microwave versions. It works fantastic.

Heat the grill. If using gas, set to medium-high. If cooking over wood or charcoal, allow the flames to die down until the embers are glowing. If using a grill pan, place it over medium-high heat just before cooking. Trim and reserve the tops from the carrots to make the chermoula. Scrub the carrots with a vegetable brush under running water, then wipe them clean with a kitchen towel. If any of the carrots are more than 1 inch in diameter, cut them in half lengthwise, but leave thinner carrots whole. Place the carrots in a shallow dish, rub them with the oil, and sprinkle with the salt Place the carrots on the hot grill, arranging them perpendicular to the grates so they don't fall through. (If you're using a grill pan, cook in batches and place a heavy skillet on top of the carrots to weigh them down while cooking.) Cook, turning occasionally, until nicely charred on all sides, 12 to 15 minutes. Transfer the grilled carrots back to the dish. Once cool enough to handle, cut the carrots into about 2-inch pieces. I like to slice the tapered end of the carrot away at a 90-degree angle then bisect the top half through the stem end, to get three pieces that are close to the same length and width, but use your best judgment based on the size of each carrot. Arrange the carrots on a platter and spoon the chermoula over them. Serve warm or at room temperature, with any remaining chermoula on the side. CARROT TOP CHERMOULA Makes about 1½ cups When you baw fresh carrots with tons, save them to make this zesty North Af. rican herb sauce, and pair it with the grilled carrots on page 53. If you happen to have preserved lemon on hand, use it instead of lemon zest and skip the salt. 1 packed cup carrot top leaves green onions, finely chopped ½ cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped ½ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped I clove garlic, finely chopped 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, coarsely ground I teaspoon coriander seeds, coarsely ground I teaspoon sweet paprika I teaspoon fine sea salt I tablespoon fresh lemon juice. plus i teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil Fill a medium bowl with water and add the carrot leaves. Swish the leaves in the water, then transfer them to a salad spinner basket to drain and spin dry (or drain them in a colander and wrap them in a paper towel). Finely chop the carrot top leaves and place them in a medium bowl. Add the green onions, parsley, cilantro, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and lemon juice and zest. Drizzle in the olive oil and whisk with a fork. This sauce is best served at room temperature on the day it is made.

Spices laying in a drawer going alphabetically 5 across and 3 rows. So far: Row 1: allspice, basil, Cajun, cardamom, cayenne pepper. Unfortunately they no longer do them. It was a box you could purchase to help support the Silver Skate Festival. They had varying sizes and it came with a bunch of stuff from local companies. For instance this was my haul from one of the years (not the year of fav cup)

Since the Liberals took office, there has been a 632% increase in US Border Patrol encounters with people illegally attempting to enter the United States from Canada. This is a direct result of the government's failure to enforce effective border security. This is a crisis the Liberals have allowed to fester and grow, and it's putting Canadians at risk. While the Liberals have stated they are investing $300 million into border investigation and scanners, we do not have a timeline and the government's lack of trustworthiness and transparency in the past make execution questionable.

Muesli cereal. I let it soak in milk for 10 minutes until it is soft like a porridge. They even have a no sugar added version too.
