My answer is no. You can’t have it.

My 82yo dad says this all the time. He’s crazy. It is a metaphor that does not apply to today’s world, but more of a late 1940s-50s saying when there were more opportunities for people, generally speaking. For example, it wasn’t nearly as hard to buy a house if you worked FT in many areas in the US.
