And we're back. The moment the danger passes, people rush to pretend everything is alright again. It isn't and will not be.

We need a full and complete investigation into Renee Good’s death. The DOJ is refusing to do so. It’s yet another disgraceful cover-up.

No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.

He keeps referring to Greenland as Iceland.
His dementia is on full display. Just look at him slumped over the podium . Time for people to get up and leave the clown show.

By the way the outright corruption that is the "Board of Peace" should be roundly condemned and rejected by everyone - and those thinking of joining should be shamed into walking away.

Really can't stand the self-abasement of takes posing as the reasonable middle by conceding it'd be a sensible policy to purchase / annex Greenland so long as it wasn't by force, as if any of the nonsense reasons are compelling. Stop it. There is no reasonable version, that would still be idiotic.

This is what historian Robert Kagan on what it means for the world.

We’re responding to this crisis as if it’s just another crisis. It’s not. This is it. It’s the political crisis of our lifetimes. And how we respond in the US & UK & Europe is critical.

Compare & contrast. This is Trump’s demand for Greenland. And this is Hitler’s for the Sudetenland.

There is no difference. The language. The unstoppable need to dominate. The megalomania. It’s the same.

And Keir Starmer’s response is appeasement. We are in that moment.

At this stage, the Mail using an affectionate nickname in a headline on this story feels a bit like their infamous ‘Hurrah for the Blackshirts!’ front page.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Does your #UnhingedHeadline spot have an “on this day” section? Thankfully I missed this first time around.
A year ago today Boris the Liar spaffed out this description of an event that didn't actually happen and the Daily Fail still put it on the front page because who cares about actual facts?

Astonishing to invite one of history’s most egregious warmongers on to a peace board. The international rules are already in the bin.

No thanks

If they defect to a different party, we should get a vote

It’s a real shame that Nigel Farage is too unwell to do interviews the morning after Donald Trump threatens us with sanctions.

Here he is with “the bravest man he ever met”. He campaigned to make Trump President, and has spent the last year enjoying all the chaos he has caused.
