I've been enjoying this thread and I love a lot about what you've been posting, but I just wanted to call out specifically that I love how the edg bevelling on the blocks both looks really cool and helps visual readability of caves and overhangs. Really looking forward to playing this some day!

I know it might end up feeling like wasted work but my gut feeling on this is to make the game you want to make, and THEN make concessions later if you have to, don't compromise it from the beginning. (It's also way easier for me to say this to someone else than to convince myself...)

This one has been a long time coming, obviously, and for silly reasons, but so it goes. Thankfully, I haven't been idle the whole time, I've still been working away at Five Words of Power. It's slow, but it's progress at least!

It's always interesting to see how things land differently for people! Technically I used Unity before Godot but I've used Godot way more at this point, and it's weird to me that Unity draws a strong distinction between scenes and prefabs -- why treat them differently?
