Today we celebrate Persons Day - the 1929 legal victory that recognized Canadian women as “persons” under the law. Thanks to the Famous Five who led the charge, the way was paved for women to participate more fully in public and political life.

This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for our community - for neighbours who look out for one another and the shared values that bring us together.
