I always ask if they are accepting hugs and if not, offer a high five or a wave. It’s all good, and makes holidays easier on everyone.

If they could bring themselves to take Trump seriously they would have to get rid of him, which means they can’t afford to look at / admit the real issues.

I’m sure you are already well aware of this but I find it extremely charming that villages bringing cows down from the Alps in the fall have a little party and decorate the cows with flowers and do a parade.
