Strange you can believe in.
To every U.S. embassy & consulates, diplomats must treat the following as human rights abuses:
Countries w/state-funded abortion
w/workplace DEI protections
that allow gender-affirming care for trans youth
that accept migrants seeking safety
& w/hate speech laws that crack down on extremist threats.
US State Department Debases Human Rights Diplomacy
The 2024 version of the State Department report issued by the Trump administration in August already removed or significantly reduced sections on political freedoms, corruption, gender-based violence,...

These unending fuckers.
The United States government has ordered its employees not to speak at any events for World AIDS Day or promote them on social media.

I guess they think that if we ignore HIV/AIDS it will just go away.

It didn’t work for Reagan and it’s not going to work now.
1/ ⚠️ Breaking: At CDC, we've been told the US Government will not officially commemorate World AIDS Day this year. No explanation given.

As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.

Art in our temp home pretty much sits on the floor because I still have shallow-boi PTSD frm our emergency move. They're all big pieces (larger than these) so it works.
Bt I realized last week I couldn't live w/out actual art on the walls & so after 2 years, my little writing room got a welcome balm

I'm an older gent, born 1954.
It took me a minute to get my head around my kids being Trans; broke me up once.
But yaknow what? I wanted them ALIVE & happy.
And they r the 1st & seem gloriously the 2nd.

Lucky4me, great smarter wife + lifetime of "Progressive"
... because they iz wonderful to watch.
On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I think about the countless trans people whose names won't be plastered on infographics because the world was so hostile and violent to them that they felt the need to opt out on their own terms.

Mourn the dead.
Fight like hell for the living.

THE OBVIOUS. If you're going to replace "Obamacare," wouldn't the smart thing to do be to keep funding it until your new and allegedly better health care program is ready to go? Isn't that what a stable genius would do?

Excellent content, as are all of Hookland's posts.
If I lived in the north, I would be submitting to Carnyx Press. Good advice from good folk.
Getting ready to send us a publishing enquiry? We've penned a blog post on how to write a query letter:

The question I want to ask Chuck Schumer and the other cowards is; When did you know that you were going to fold? How many needless days of suffering did you cause? I’m betting you knew from day one.

Do you remember when the White House had good taste?

Back when the art had meaning, the rooms had soul, and the President had both.
