Any Retainers on all my characters are usually OC's related to that characters backstory. The only exceptions being NPCs that are love interests.
The only one I'll mention fully is R'iku's. Each of his retainer is a woman in his family, his sister, mother and childhood friend.

Since i try ro follow the in game Canon as close as possible, R'iku has killed. He never intends for it, but it happens if there is no alternative. His first official kill was the member of Gaius' team you fight before Castrum and Prae.

That feeling when you redo some lore on your character, and teo new friends spawn. Since R'iku takes influence from Naruto, I decided to make him some other Doman friends. Naosu, the Miqo'te, is the daughter of a Doman based on Naruto. While Mamoru, the Hyur, is the son of a Doman based on Sasuke

R'iku would be the playful parent. He loves his kid, and is always pushing those that want hard in their training. But he also let's them be loose and do their own thing. Since he didn't have a dad himself, he sees himself as a playmate more than a father, until he gets older

For R'iku, he's equal parts confused and surprised. He's in a new place, but it's so different from where he had been right before going to the First

R'iku absolutely joins one of thw Grand Companies. He joins the Immortal Flames after meeting Raubahn and being inspired. Though he is an Adventurer first, he does work his way up the ranks, eventually becoming a Captain and leading his own squadron(despite not being able to read and write XD)

R'iku actually does have an unusual name if people think he is a full Sun Seeker. But since his mother is a Hyur, he has her Surname. And since Saku never really cared about the Tribe of his Father, she named him and his sister as Domans. He only has the apostrophe for simplicity
If R'iku was a Gym Leader or Champion specifically, he'd specialize in Fighting types. His team for this is different from what his trainer team would be, but a few Mons are the same

R'iku the Miqo'te is actually almost 1 for 1 of the OC I used as his base. Aside from a slight name change, R'iku is a slightly less educated version of his source.

The lore behind R'iku being a Ninja main, is actually because of heritage. When he is rescued as a child, he asks his mother to train him anyway she could. As such, she taught him the basics of ninjutsu and had him learn the rest later. He does learn other classes, but Ninja was his go to

Honestly, marriage was never a thought in R'iku's head. Relationships were an enigma to him until he fell for his mates. But he does want to marry them, because it symbolizes a promise he makes to them to always return

R'iku has many different AU'S. He has at least one per mate, depending on what their relationship is like.
But the main three for him alone have to do with his heritage. Each changes his personality slightly depending on where he started

R'iku has one sibling by blood, his older sister R'ika. The two are twins, with R'ika having been born first. Even though R'iku is the adventurer, R'ika is a very protective older sister. Though je gets on her nerves, she loves her brother dearly. #FFXIV #FFXIVGPOSE #GPOSE #GPOSER
