It really annoyed me that the whole narrative online about Immortals of Aveum at launch was “nobody is playing it on Steam” when a tiny fraction of the Steam user base had a graphics card that could run it

The thing that everyone talks about with AI is making a video of Will Smith eating spaghetti or fake Ghibli art - but even the people I know who are against generative AI for creative work are often using it for other things.

Using AI constantly =/= using it for everything.

Those capitalised parts do not in any way say they are using AI for creative work. I work in marketing, I have seen a lot of people using AI in my line of work constantly, but very very few use it for anything creative. Most are using it for research, planning and reporting.

I don’t want to call you out on something you’re not wrong about - but this is a pancakes/waffles reply.

The previous person did not say they used AI for creative work, and I imagine the majority of creatives do not even if they routinely use AI in their daily lives for admin, reports, research.

That’s really surprising that they’re creatives and are using it. The PR Manager at my office uses it constantly, despite me saying over and over that it is unreliable and also stealing ideas

As somebody who hates AI with a passion as I've had my writing work stolen to feed it I should tell you that sadly the opposite is the case - I think most normies who aren't very online are using ChatGPT and the like constantly. Every day at my day job somebody mentions using it.

I genuinely don’t understand the love for big cars. I drive an estate to have a boot big enough for pram and kid and toddler stuff and it’s a fucking nightmare to park compared to my old little city car.

Sorry to hear that - hope things look up soon.

I think the focus for this machine has to be price - get the price right and the market will happen and publishers will sort out anti-cheat.

For me, I don’t super care about that. If the price is right I will just dual boot Windows for games that won’t run on SteamOS.

I have Ultimate, so can play it for no extra cost - but when I tap on CoD in the Xbox app, in the Game Pass section, my only option is to buy. This isn’t the case for any other title.

Thanks for watching! I loved that book as a teen, I always wished they’d adapted it into an episode or for a sequel.
