Others have taken notice but comments toward speak to problem inside Taiwan: DPP is blamed for brinksmanship which is CCP party line aped by Western journalists. Engaging in self-defense is wrong. Let's open Taiwan completely to the PRC just like Ma Ying-jeou wanted. Delusional.

/1 Lot of people talking abt how yesterday somehow gave CCP a road map for Taiwan. No such thing. PRC has thought abt this for years. What I presented yesterday was best case scenario: limited resources with limited casualties. Something that "could" happen, not now but maybe later.

/1 I have seen a few people mention that the US operation against Maduro doesn't provide a precedent to the PRC with reg to Taiwan. However, if I was Pres. Lai, I wouldn't take comfort in that notion.

For awhile, I complained abt CCP trying to rewrite the “software” for the international rules of law and order. Watching the US Constitution and those int rules be rewritten by an elected US president is surreal/sad/frightening on many levels home and abroad

This asks more questions than attempting to provide an analytical response to the questions raised. I don't expect an exact answer but we know from what the CCP has done elsewhere would it COULD do if it occupied Taiwan. Says nothing about TSMC or world economy.

A lot of people already discussed this article which is annoying for blaming Taiwan for alleged "crisis" with CCP. CCP poured millions in defense when there are no threats and created a security dilemma for its neighbors who engage in self-defense but labeled aggressors.
