Another day, another ECG. Life with heart damage from covid.

Having long covid feels like living in an alternate reality where I've been left behind. My friend @emendenhall.bsky.social makes the invisible visible in her powerful new book

As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.

A few of my best drawings from #drawingisfree and some abbreviated thoughts:
There is something in the speed and informality that creates a hot-house growing environment that is very conducive to experimentation and risk taking.

Mrs A often complains the poetry I read/write/share is serious, gloomy, & downright depressing...

She may have a point, but to prove I'm not a one trick pony...

Racism is bad for the economy. Economic growth stems from either increases in labor productivity or population size. Shrinking the population (and removing productive workers) shrinks the economy BY DEFINITION. People like Stephen Miller love racism more than economic prosperity 6/x

The Trump Administration is trying to forge a personalist authoritarian regime and honestly the conditions for success are there. However, they're *way* out over their skis at the moment. Their pure recklessness is making their path to success way harder 1/x
