I usually create a thread of options for people who would like to donate to a Native cause or struggle, but it has gotten HARDER to fundraise on socials over the past couple of years, so I am zeroing in on one ask this year. Pls support Native organizing infrastructure: nativeorganizing.org/donate/

The conditions for which they’re refusing vaccines look mild to them because they’ve never seen how bad they can be, which is only possible if most of the population does its job. Vaccination isn’t just a personal choice, it’s about fulfilling our obligation to our community to keep everyone safe.

Some incredible details in this piece
*one DOGE faction was planning the future of the US government at a venture capital firm
*illegally communicating on Signal to avoid transparency laws was deeply embedded into organizational culture to be taken for granted

generally agree, but there’s a lot of stuff on the health and science side that can’t be rebuilt quickly, even with a blank check (which we won’t have, not even close). for example, it will take many years to redevelop the workforces they’ve hollowed out. there’s no shortcut there.

In a statement, @dcattorneygeneral.bsky.social calls Trump's use of the National Guard in D.C. "unprecedented federal overreach." He urges Trump to send the troops home.

"Think of the children!" is pretty cringe, but also, I want better for my children and for all of us. The name-calling, the misogyny, the racism, the antisemitism, the attacks on every program meant to ease our burdens even a little ... it's all grounded in such meanness in both senses of the word.

He’s a shallow thinker and SV big money types are impressed with him because he speaks in the same 30,000 foot generalities they do and his entire thesis is that rich people aren’t to blame and in fact should have *more* power
