Just added running states! When the player holds the run button and reaches maximum speed, they can jump higher and also leave after images based on the color that they chose for the mushroom! I plan to add more moves related to running in the future.

Making a wall jump mechanic where the player can either slide down the wall before wall jumping or wall jump as soon as they're close to a wall. I think the results are pretty responsive!
No, they can't get infinite height by doing this.

Finally tried to make some effects: dust clouds when the player moves and stars when they bonk their head.
Also added "fake walls", which are walls that seems to be solid but can actually lead to secret areas!
Last but not least, two new hats!

Made a crouch mechanic. The player's hitbox gets smaller, so they can go through some tight spaces! They can also jump while crouching.

Made a climbing mechanic, I think it will open the doors for cool level design possibilities! Also it's really funny to change the climbing speed and go flying lol

Added semisolid platforms and horizontal momentum! I'm currently trying to add vertical momentum too, but so far it's already so much fun to go flying across the level! Yes I made a cannon to test high speeds lol

Camera Trick: to let the player see a little more of what's ahead, the camera can follow an invisible object that's always in the center of the screen! So to make this effect, the object can copy the player's movements, but move a little faster before it reaches the desired position.

Just wanted to show Coyote Time (some frames where the player can still jump even after they started falling), it's necessary for good platformer feel!
