Fans often don't like a work for the same reason to begin with.
And then bigger a franchise become the more diverse the fandom become.
That's why the trend of Hollywood studiso to "listen to fans" is a mistake. Trying to placate one kind of fans will pisse others, and it's just an endless cycle.

The biggest proof the game did well is that you still rarely see any sale for it and it never hit bargain bins.
Comparatively I found Outlaws (Gold Edition so with the season pass) for 30€ (so LESS than the pass itself) three months after release 😬

I saw the movie day one having read nothing about and absolutely loved it and then came online and was like "the fuck?" at the reaction.
But frankly online reaction are a bubble that don't represent the majority most of the time. People just love hating on stuff

I mean you still see people complaining about this because they don't understand basic game and level design. That's the design equivalent of media illeteracy, these people think everything should be big open world design where you can climb everywhere. Nonsense.

I very much think it had the best dungeons in the series. Lot of variety, different style and design for each of them, even one which is all puzzles and no combat.
