Common-Sense Idealism, Part 1: Rethinking the American Economy for the Working Class

(This is a draft script for a video I may someday make.)

What if I told you the United States could be a place where working-class households could thrive—without sacrificing any personal liberties?

Dems: How much does it matter that your reps can't actually propose these amendments because Republicans would block any effort for them to do so? Bc, I think people want to see Dems do some political theater, to posture like fighters. We know they are in the minority, we know this won't get added.
Democrats should propose amendments to the SAVE act that require the government to furnish free IDs to all eligible voters before requiring them, automatically register all people to vote, expand mail-in voting, and create a national voting holiday. Then watch republicans block them.

Many of us figured this out on our own:

"Every accusation is a confession" with Trump, and MAGA as a whole has adopted this very technique.

I understand the thinking behind this, the problem with this - and the way influencers are covering the Files - is that it is material an awful lot of men lowkey (high key?) enjoy. It's not upsetting for them, it's enjoyable.

Releasing the Files gave a whole lot of vile men access to CSAM.
Everyone who voted for Trumplestiltskin should be forced to watch all of the Epstein videos, Clockwork Orange style.

Remember how the US Army forced the German civilians in nearby towns to tour the death camps?

I'm tired of explaining why I don't like HRC, but I held my nose + voted for her in an entrenched 2 party system.

The system is broken bc dark $

Hillary Clinton: "More people were deported under my husband and Barack Obama without killing American citizens and without putting children into detention camps than were in the first Trump term or this first year of Trump's second term."

Where is the unified Dem opposition? @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and @schumer.senate.gov project weakness at every turn with their inability to whip their members to take courageous UNIFIED moves.

Mad props to Bera.

So, we are just going to *allow* Kushner to serve in this administration though no one voted for him. Not us.
Not the Senate.
No one.
And we’re not protesting this.
This sends a confirmation to the world of our weakness on the world stage.

What else do you call warehouses full of abducted human beings concentrated together in unsanitary conditions without access to sufficient food, water, or medical attention?

If you don't like your concentration camps being called concentration camps then stop operating concentration camps.
I just heard someone say on TV that use of the term "concentration camps" to describe ICE facilities was "very strong language."
I think ICE's concentration camps are very strong abuses of human rights.

Hot take: We don't need the public combing thru the Files being horrified, titillated. We need the people to organize to stop the GOP so that we can have 1. legit investigators hold the perps accountable and 2. non-corrupt electeds get reforms we need to prevent this from happening again.

Compare Liberia’s collapse to 2025:
Trump’s second term wasn’t “normal politics” —
it was a revenge-fueled revolt against institutions,
expertise, and modern norms.
Universities, courts, media, immigrants —
all targeted in a war on modernity and pluralism.

It's great to live in a country (Canada, Japan, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, etc.) where citizens don't worry about if the next election will be canceled, if they will be allowed to register to vote, if they will have to stand in line for hours to vote, or if their vote will be counted.

We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.

Union elections plummeted last year after Trump gutted the NLRB — while the cost of living soars and corporate profits hit record highs.

Unions are the key to taking on corporate power and increasing working people’s standard of living.
