ah yeah that's the good stuff, barely comprehensible (but honest) poetry was the first thing I ever did on the internet

father earth and mother sky
met nightly at the water
there beneath the hunter's moon
they grew a river daughter

I want to learn the names of the bugs and plants in this part of minnesota

last year there was a disturbing hole in the ground near one of our bushes, and when I looked at it something wriggled, so I avoided that part of the yard for the rest of the summer

leveled up like crazy on the domestic front this week

made roasted potatoes with pork fat on a whim last night and discovered that that was my grandmother's secret this whole time

instantly transported back to southern idaho, 1999

following pretty much anyone who says anything even mildly interesting during the 5-minute chunks of time where I'm actually remembering to follow people

when you just got raptured to bluesky and wow hey everyone recognizes you

this has been a really good week/weekend so it might just be me, but man it's been a long time since I was *purely* having fun online to the point where I'm a bit sad I have to go to bed soon

this is actually making me think about things like

what am I even doing online

I don't mean that as "I shouldn't be online" but rather "I seem to be doing something different in every online space but I'm not sure what it is I'm doing in any of them, exactly"

this is definitely a bit janky but I dig it, feels like hanging out on twitter but in the basement or the broom closet

reminds me of skipping pep rallies to hang out in the prop room with my drama friends

I have barely touched a real keyboard in the two years since having a kid, just because I can carry my phone around

but maybe I need to invest in my Real Computer setup, this is so much better9
